Shelby Cable Knit Hat Pattern

Cables are just pure luxury, don’t you think? This hat has a huge one, intertwining to create gorgeous intertwining lines up one side of the hat.

This hat is meant to be knit by hand, working in the round.

It begins with a stockinette brim, then adds the main body of the hat, which includes an oversized cable set against purl stockinette, and reduces to the crown.

It is cast off onto the snipped end of yarn, and cinched to close the crown. You will need:

:: 9 mm (US size 13) circular or double pointed knitting needles
:: Cable needle
:: Darning needle
:: Scissors
:: 1 (8 oz; 160 yard) skein of False Holly Troelli Thick & Thin yarn
:: Blocking pads and pins
:: Optional: stitch markers, for marking your cables; felting needle, for joining yarns without knots; measuring tape.
