Naked Merino Tencel Roving Top Braid - natural white merino wool roving spinning fibre
Made with the same gossamer 22 micron naturally white New Zealand merino that constantly sells out, this 50/50 blend with eucalyptus lyocell is truly the gold standard, and a spinner's dream. It drafts effortlessly to form a durable, shiny yarn.
Use the spun yarn for next-to-skin projects like hats, scarves, shawls, baby items. The merino is superwash treated, making this a versatile fibre for the end user.
Milled in Canada, it's perfect for spinning, or for extreme knitting, and, of course, its smooth texture adds dimension with artistic weaving. This combed top can be used as-is, or dyed to make all your colour dreams come true. The Tencel resists acid dyes, rendering a gorgeous heathered look when the merino has been dyed.
:: undyed 50/50 blend
:: 22 micron superwash merino
:: fine lyocell fibre
:: 5 inch staple length
Be sure to set your yarn in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry. For best results on finished products using this fiber, wash in cold water by hand or on the delicate cycle with gentle shampoo; reshape and lay flat to dry. This fiber does not respond well to heat, similar to rayon, so do not tumble dry finished products made with this fiber at high temperatures.
