Pristine, naked and a gorgeous grey brown, this Jacob wool roving is a spinner's dream, due to its long staple length and perfectly combed preparation. Use the spun yarn for durable slippers, handmade rugs, or rugged and beautiful outerwear. It creates a naturally multicoloured felt, and, of course, its texture adds dimension with artistic weaving.
Legend has it that the Jacob breed of sheep descended from the biblical flocks Jacob tended for love of Rachel. They are multicoloured sheep, with coarse, durable fibre.
Sourced from British sheep and milled in Britain, this wool is undyed, and untreated. This commercial combed top can be used as-is, or dyed to make all your colour dreams come true.
